FAQ’s
We apologize that we are currently only accepting new patients who have recently moved in to the local area.
Most problems are best dealt with here in the surgery where your doctor has access to a number of possible investigations and treatments which may be of value to you, particularly if you are quite unwell.
We realise that from time to time people are too sick to attend and a house call is necessary and we are happy to see you at home. Doctors tend to fit in housecalls at lunchtime and we would appreciate if you are contacting us to organise one that you would do so before 11 am. Your own doctor here in the practice will try and see you. Occasionally, he or she may not be able and one of the other doctors from the practice will visit you.
Application forms can be collected from the HSE office in Tivoli Road, Dun Laoghaire or downloaded from the HSE website.

Services Not Covered by Medical Card Scheme

- Medical examinations or reports for legal purposes
- Examinations and forms relating to insurance policies
- Examinations relating to fitness to drive including eye examinations
- Pre-employment examinations
- School entry examinations
- Examinations in connection with fitness to take part in sports or attend gyms
- Travel vaccinations and certain other vaccinations
- Routine blood tests for management and follow up of chronic ongoing medical conditions such as routine management of blood sugars and glucose tolerance tests, cholesterol, PSA, liver and kidney tests or full blood counts.
- Blood tests done for the management of acute medical conditions do not incur a charge.
- 24 hour blood pressure monitoring
GMS Medical Card or Doctor Only visit card holders requesting any of the above services are responsible for the relevant fees.
From time to time, but hopefully not too often, people are not satisfied with certain aspects of their care here at the practice. We are very anxious to hear about any complaints or comments.
Please feel free to mention any problems to your doctors or send us a complaint in writing addressed either to our Practice Manager, Ursula Thorp or the Partners.
All complaints are reviewed by the partners and will be replied to promptly.
