Dr. David Nicholas Hannon

David Nicholas HannonDavid has joined the practice for the year to his final vocational training year in General Practice.

David was educated at Gonzaga College in Dublin, University College Dublin and the University of Limerick. He worked as an intern in Beaumont Hospital and commenced training in Internal Medicine at Beaumont Hospital in the areas of Neurology, Oncology, Emergency Medicine and Medicine for the Elderly during this time.

In 2016 David gained entry to the Trinity College General Practice Training Scheme. Over the course of the following 2 years he received further specialist training in the areas of Paediatrics at The National Children’s Hospital Tallaght, Psychiatry at St James Hospital and Palliative Care at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. He also did rotations in Emergency Medicine, Medicine for the Elderly and Internal Medicine at St James Hospital.

David is a current member of the ICGP Trainee Committee and sits on a number committees and working groups within the ICGP as part of this role. He has been involved in multiple research studies in a number of areas in medicine and co-authored the most recent edition of the ICGP Trainee Handbook.

David is married with two children. He plays squash and tennis and is a keen cyclist of both road and mountain bikes, he is an avid supporter of Liverpool Football Club and Leinster Rugby.
